- Click on "Start" and then "Computer". In the resulting dialog, right-click anywhere in the blank space in the right side panel and choose "Add a network location".
- Click "Next".
- Double-click on "Choose a custom location".
- In this dialog, type in http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/vis to access the SVS Web Server and click "Next".
Note: You should not have an ending /# as you did in previous versions of Windows.
- In this dialog you are prompted to name the network location. This is what you will see when navigating on your machine, so name it something meaningful to you. Click "Next".
- You'll see a confirmation dialog. Be sure to leave the option "Open this network location when I click Finish" checked. Click "Finish".
- The network location is created and it is opened for you. You can navigate through the system from here to find the specific files that you want.
